Fantasy Feasts

In the Nazi concentration camps and in the Soviet work camps, deportees wrote hundreds of food recipes. Giving birth to an unexpected and not exactly heroic literature. Yet, those recipes have been composed by starving men and women in a concentration system aiming at turning them into sub-humans ready to kill each other for a piece of bread. Most of those cookbooks are still hidden by the authors’ families. Until now they have not been published nor studied, Fantasy Feasts is going to start solving this lack.
