Directed by Alexandru Solomon
Imagine Ceausescu comes back 20 years after being overthrown and executed. Imagine he then starts meeting with the former generals of the Securitate, party aides and their children, who are now Romania’s entrepreneurs. Imagine the former Communist dictator understands it is his kin who has built Capitalism in the country, and it is them who are now doing business with the EU, after Romania’s admission in 2007. Imagine all this and you will understand the paradox that we – Romanians and other Eastern Europeans alike – have to live with after the transition from Communism to Capitalist regime.
