Biography

After getting a degree in Chemical Science (UCL, Catholic University of Louvain) and in Environment Science (ULB, Free University of Brussels), she studied journalism at the ULB and attended a video-camera course in Mons.

Having worked as a researcher, teacher, journalist and organizing conferences, Marie-Martine now focuses on international and environmental issues.

From 2007 to 2011, she was deputy editor-in-chief for the magazine Le Courrier . Her research was based on the cooperation between the EU and African-Caribbean-Pacific countries. The job allowed her to further explore a subject, which she was highly interested in: the link between the environment and the population.
